Types of Inconel/Incoloy Flanges

By Gautam Tubes  |  inconel flanges, inconel 625 flanges, inconel 800 flanges

There are several types of Inconel flanges available, each with its own specific characteristics and applications. Some of the most common types of Inconel flanges include:

  • Inconel 625 Flanges: These flanges are made from Inconel 625 alloy, which is known for its excellent resistance to corrosion and high-temperature environments. They are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in chemical processing plants and power generation facilities.
  • Inconel 718 Flanges: These flanges are made from Inconel 718 alloy, which is known for its high strength and good weldability. They are commonly used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications, such as in the aerospace and power generation industries.
  • Incoloy 800 Flanges: These flanges are made from Incoloy 800 alloy, which is known for its excellent resistance to corrosion and high-temperature environments. They are commonly used in the chemical processing industry and in power generation facilities.
  • Incoloy 825 Flanges: These flanges are made from Incoloy 825 alloy, which is known for its excellent resistance to corrosion and high-temperature environments. They are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in chemical processing plants and power generation facilities.
  • Inconel Slip-On Flanges: These flanges are designed to slip over the pipe and are typically secured by fillet welding. They are commonly used in low-pressure applications and are easy to install.
  • Inconel Blind Flanges: These flanges are used to seal off the end of a pipe or a pressure vessel. They have no bore and are typically used to block off the end of a piping system.
  • Inconel Weld Neck Flanges: These flanges have a long tapered hub and are typically used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. They are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in chemical processing plants and power generation facilities.
  • Inconel Threaded Flanges: These flanges have threads on the inside, which are used to connect the flange to the pipe. They are commonly used in low-pressure applications and are easy to install.
  • Inconel Lap Joint Flanges: These flanges are designed to be used in conjunction with a lap joint stub end. They are commonly used in low-pressure applications and are easy to install.
  • Inconel Spectacle Blind Flanges: These flanges are used to isolate a section of the pipe. They consist of a flange that is connected to a metal ring or "spacer". The metal ring or "spacer" is used to isolate a section of the pipe.

It's important to note that some of the types of Inconel flanges may not be available in all the alloys mentioned above. It's also important to select the right type of flange for the specific application and requirements.
