These plates are chromium and molybdenum plates have excellent resistance to high working temperatures. ASME and ASTM SA/ A 387 are the technical standards covering the supply of molybdenum and chromium pressure vessel plates. Grade 91 plates are processed using high quality machines from both hot and cold drawing operations. Plates are heat treated and hot worked. Annealing operations are performed after hot working. After this operation, its structure turns to non-magnetic. Generally, the cold working operation is applied to avoid brittleness and attaining required mechanical structures. With its ductility, these plates are readily formed. After all operations, these plates are quenched rapidly with water.
