Grade 22 plates are low alloy steel containing chromium content. These plates offer uniform corrosion resistance occurred by organic acids like acetic acids and formic acids. Moreover, it has a higher resistance to inorganic acids even in environments having chlorides. F 22 grade has high resistance carbide intergranular attacks. Its alloy structure has resistance in stress corrosive cracking in warm chloride containing environments.
