ASTM A335 P12 is often called moly-chrome pipes because of the chemical composition of molybdenum and chromium. This chemical chemistry increases the strength of pipes as well as the resistance to wear, elastic limit, impact qualities and hardenability too.

DESCRIPTION

The composition of molybdenum content increases the resistivity to softening, grain growth restrictions and makes it less susceptible to embrittlement. The molybdenum content is a highly effective single option that increases the creep strength of seamless pipes. It also improves the corrosion resistance of pipes and possesses pitting corrosion. However, chromium is also an essential component of steel.

CONCLUSION
